Introduction In everyday-life we often use the concept of "self-esteem" in order to qualify the implicit or explicit attitudes of a person towards herself. One might suffer from "low self-esteem" when preparing for an important occasion or from the unbearably "high self esteem" of a colleague. We also tend to assume a correlation between our thinking good or bad about ourselves and the effect this has on our actions.
